The Oyster:
The Corpse of the Sea

The Corpse of the Sea is an ongoing series investigating the impact of oysters on our oceans and just a general obsession with the mollusk itself.

who first ate an oyster”

Ceramic shell, resin, wood, latex paint, and found objects, 2020
Why am I obsessed with oysters? A single oyster can filter 15 gallons of water a day.
They are one of the most sustainable food sources as the shells provide new habitat for growing oysters.
